Horse losses are under siege!

The 2009 Budget introduced stringent new requirements for high income earners to claim horse losses and these new rules commenced on 1 July 2009. The ATO have only recently introduced the final legislation and, needless to say, the breeder/owner must take these into account when lodging tax returns for the 2010 tax year onwards.

What better way to get the valuable update on this and other current horse tax issues but to attend the annual Carrazzo Sydney Horse Taxation Seminar, “Horse Taxation – The Hot Topics”.

Now a regular feature of the Inglis Sydney Breeding Stock sale, and conducted to coincide with the end of the tax year, this is a unique concept that has been welcomed by many within the industry, especially breeders, who have been continually frustrated when trying to obtain definitive answers on horse taxation from the ATO and their tax advisers, many of whom have little experience or interest with horse industry issues.

This seminar will be conducted at the William Inglis and Son Newmarket Sales Complex on Wednesday, 23 June 2010 (10 am to 11.30 am). The seminar cost is $132 per head (inc GST) and is tax deductible to eligible horse taxation businesses. Light refreshments will also be provided.
